Long time between this and the last journal and I apologize but once you've read this you probably will understand.

This will be very personal and difficult for me to write but I want to do this to what raise awareness? To help me get it out and be able to get through the rest of the week? Maybe I don't really know why I am to be frank.

Okay so I've been going through a really difficult time a really tough time and with the stress that has been building for a good while about 3-4 maybe even 5 months and because of that I've taking to self harm. Now I can't  stress this enough  its only just started in the last month and its not what we all immediately think of when we think of SH - cutting. I've started biting my arms and legs and pinching skin as well as digging what nails I have into my skin. I don't though draw blood well I've not done so yet. I'm so sadden that I've turned to doing this, I've only told one person and she's been amazing, I feel so close to her even though we're technically in different countries (I live in Scotland and she's in England and to be honest I don't think I would of even told her if I hadn't gone to see her I just kinda came out with it really) I've not told my other best friend yet either and my Mum doesn't know and I was close to telling the doctor when I went today.

I have been doing this to try and help the pressure I'm feeling in my chest and legs when its really painful (like right now I want to do it but I can't as my Mum and brother are with me) and its all down to stress. When your being treated as bad as I am and people won't do anything but shout at you and make you feel so small and worthless that you sit there like a mouse ( I am a mouse I won't stand up for myself I'll just sit there and take whatever comes my way) that its gotten to the point I'm doing this, I'm getting constant headaches, pains in chest and legs and constant tiredness and I'm generally depressed which is what has led to me doing this. I don't know how much is know about the other forms of SH to be honest I was naive and thought only cutting was SH before but its not as I've come to realise.

I am not looking for attention I'm wanting to get the other ways of SH noticed more, as when I think of it I do think of cutting but there is more to it, Biting, pinching your self, hitting your self or hitting your head or hand or foot of a wall/something heavy.  

PS - Actually submitting this is so difficult right now I'm scared to but I'm going to share my experience in the hopes someone else will be able to benefit. I will try post a fellow up journal if things start getting better to show it does, right now I can''t see that light but if I do I will post. I've gotten some help in the sense I've got something to help with the stress and hopefully that will help the biting and such decline but we'll see.

Remember try to Stay Strong its not easy but I'm putting a brave face for tomorrow and I hope I will soon be back to my normal self again.

Group Info

Hi everyone this group to raise awarness on important issues wether they are taboo or not. It was started because of one topic I felt I had to do something to rasie the issue of but I then started thinking there are plenty of other issues that need to be known of.

Everyone is of course welcome all you have to do to join is click join and I believe you will be automatically made a memeber.

A few groups rules

be kind to each other after all this group is about awarness inculding bullying so no nasty remarks
At the minute if the group folder is not set up for the particular subject place it in the featured I will and am working on that but I do not want to be missing out on anything so it will take some time but hopefully not too long
all types of art work are accepted but only if it's raising awarness for an issue

So remember Stay Strong and be kind to one another thanks Ellen Degeneres for that line - she says it at the end of very show and I think it's something we should all try to live by
